A one day seminar with Dr Ross J Todd
This seminar will explore the complex dynamics of engaging school communities in Guided Inquiry initiatives, particularly looking at how teams and collaborative partnerships can be built, and how diverse applications of Web 2.0 technologies and tools can support the collaborative learning experience.
Seminar participants will gain
• An understanding of current research in relation to classroom teacher – teacher-librarian instructional collaborations
• Knowledge of the dynamics of effective team collaborations to support Guided Inquiry initiatives
• Practical strategies to build effective teams and develop shared pedagogy at each of the stages of the Guided Inquiry process
• Understand the diverse applications of Web 2.0 technologies and tools for supporting Guided Inquiry
• Develop pedagogical skills of facilitating students’ creation and production of ideas through Web 2.0
• Strategies for engaging the school community in Guided Inquiry initiatives
• Opportunities to learn about the realities, challenges and achievements of Guided Inquiry initiatives currently under way
• Critical feedback and advice in planning and implementing their own Guided Inquiry initiatives
